ResiDes Software Displayed on a Laptop, Tablet and Smart Phone ResiDex Software specializes in software for assisted living facilities, group homes, and organizations providing care for the elderly or the disabled.  Residex software is user-friendly, flexible, fully-integrated, and a real asset in managing day-to-day operations.

Residex Software is based out of Minneapolis - St. Paul, Minnesota.  We have staff located in several states and we support clients from coast to coast.  Our support staff are available toll-free, 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, to address your concerns.

A Brief History

ResiDex Software (TenX Systems LLC) was founded in 2000 when Dave Berg and a business partner contracted with Presbyterian Homes and Services to custom-design software for their assisted living facilities in Minnesota, Iowa and Wisconsin. The software we know as ResiDex was born, offering data management solutions to manage resident data in a more organized and time-efficient manner.

With the input of Assisted Living nurses, administrators and  others, ResiDex has evolved over the years to become the innovative and integrated software that it is today.

How can I get a demonstration of ResiDex?

We would be happy to provide an online demonstration of our software for you!

We can customize our demos to your needs: we can discuss all of the components of our software or just specific features that you are interested in. Our demonstrations are typically about 90 minutes long and can be scheduled at your convenience. All you need is internet access on your computer and a telephone nearby.

What kind of support & training is provided?

We offer an unparalleled level of support; unlimited phone and email support is offered to ResiDex users. We encourage our users to contact us right away if they have any questions, problems, or even suggestions; we want to solve all problems as quickly as possible.

Additionally, we offer our users unlimited training. We have a wealth of training materials available online including documentation and video tutorials. Additionally, we offer weekly training courses on every aspect of the program at no additional charge. You can sign up for training classes at training.rtasks.net.

If a user still needs help we can provide personalized one-on-one training with our staff over the internet!

ResiDex users may call our support line (866.512.8369) during business hours. Though we do not guarantee our availability we usually answer calls outside of business hours.

We also have periodic User Group Meetings, both in person and online, to make sure our clients are getting the most of our software.

How is ResiDex licensed and packaged?

We license our software on a per-module basis. For a bare minimum feature set, clients can license only the core ResiDex module. Additional modules may be added to ResiDex as a client wishes. Clients may license additional modules at any time!

The optional modules that you may add to ResiDex include:

  • RTasks.net - Our Browser-based charting tool
  • ResiDex E-MARs - Electronic Medication Administration Records built into ResiDex and RTasks
  • Pharmacy Connect - Electronic Pharmacy Integration (with select pharmacies)
  • CliniDex - Assessments for Assisted Living
  • ProsPex - Prospect Management for Assisted Living
  • ActiviDex - Activities for Assisted Living
  • Billing - The integrated ResiDex Billing component
  • ResiDex A/R - Accounts Receivable for Assisted Living
  • Staffing - Manage your staff from within ResiDex
With the exception of RTasks.net, these modules are delivered as one integrated program and are completely integrated with each other. RTasks is provided as a separate web-browser based tool, though it is also completely integrated with the other modules.

We host ResiDex and it's additional modules on our servers, which allows our clients to access their data from anywhere over the internet!

How is ResiDex priced?

There is no "one-size-fits-all" version of ResiDex. We customize each ResiDex implementation to fit the specific needs of each client because Assisted Living providers, Group Homes and Adult Day Services across the world differ so greatly in how they work and therefore how their version of ResiDex would be implemented.

ResiDex is priced on a customized basis. The pricing is based on the number of campuses, the size of each campus, the specific modules selected, and other factors. We would be happy to discuss your specific software needs and prepare a written proposal for you to consider.

Do License Terms limit the number of users?

Yes and No.
We license access to ResiDex, which we host on our servers, per "concurrent user." This means we charge a small fee per the number of simultaneous connections a client might have to ResiDex. 
However, licensing for RTasks.net access is a little different. Because RTasks.net is web-browser based we are not limited by the number of simultaneous connections. RTasks.net access is licensed at a flat rate and not a per-simultaneous-user charge.

Is ResiDex Internet or LAN based?

ResiDex is web-based!

ResiDex is accessible via Remote Desktop Protocol, and RTasks.net is accessible through any modern web browser.
If a client wishes, we can allow ResiDex access from the homes of ResiDex users - this is typically done for Nurses or Administrators, so they can check in on the status of things from their homes.


How long does it take to get up and running with ResiDex?

To fully implement ResiDex can take significant effort, but it can be done quickly. The required effort varies based on number of residents, components in use, client availability for training, level of customization, and more client dedication.

We have had clients implement ResiDex for managing Medications, Service Plans and staff for a home with 75 residents in as little time as 3 days ; we've also had much smaller clients take much longer to get up and running with ResiDex. 
  • If you are opening a new location, you would typically "go live" with ResiDex a few days before the location opens. 
  • If you are implementing the assessment tool (CliniDex) and/or Billing, these are typically done as "Phase 2" of an implementation, following the implementation of the core ResiDex functionality.

Can ResiDex export data to other software?

ResiDex CAN export data to other software.

Exporting data from ResiDex is most frequently used with our customers who have billing software they want ResiDex to communicate with. ResiDex can export data to to your current billing system, meaning you can get the best of both worlds. You can continue using the billing software that you already know and like, with the addition of the power of ResiDex! ResiDex does have it's own fully integrated Billing & A/R components however if you have a billing package you're happy with we can most likely work with it. We already export to a number of popular accounting packages!

We are happy to explore importing/exporting data to/from any other software so if what you need isn't mentioned above just give us a call and we'll discuss your needs!

If you're looking to export more than billing information, we can offer some data export services at an additional cost.

Can ResiDex be customized?

ResiDex is designed to be customizable to how your organization works. Many of the features in ResiDex can be modified a number of different ways to fit how you need them to work. 

Additionally, ResiDex has a very large library of reports that are available to summarize your data in many different ways. However, if you need a report that we don't already have, we are happy to work with you to develop it! From the beginning, our goal in developing ResiDex is that our software should be flexible enough to match the way our clients work. We believe software should work for YOU and not the other way around. That is why we are committed to developing any report you need, he way you need it - free of charge!

Is ResiDex accessible on iPads / iPhones? What about Android devices?


We have specifically designed our RTasks component for accessing ResiDex data and e-charting / E-MAR features to work especially well on tablet computers (iPads, Android tablets, Windows tablets) as well as smartphones (iPhones, Android Phones, Windows Phones). 

ResiDex and additional modules are also accessible via tablet computers.

Is Pharmacy Integration available?

Currently we are partnered with a number of pharmacy software providers to be able to import resident medication data directly into our E-MAR component. Additionally, we are aggressively pursuing new integration opportunities with additional pharmacies and will configure integration with any pharmacy that is capable of doing so. If your pharmacy is currently not able to connect to us, let us know and we will pursue a partnership with them!

Is ResiDex compatible with...?

You can access ResiDex from Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 & 8.1, Windows 10, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2012 & 2012 R2, and Apple OS X, and from IOS 7+ on iPads.

While you technically CAN access ResiDex from Windows XP, we do not recommend this approach as Windows XP is no longer supported by Microsoft.

Additionally, we have a special component called "RTasks.net," which is designed specifically to work on any Apple, Android or Windows smartphone or tablet, ChromeBooks, as well as computers running the above versions of Windows and Apple OS X.
